Biography

Pastor Marlin Blaze is a native of Shreveport, Louisiana. He is the second child to Patricia Blaze and the only child to Donald Holiday. He attended Huntington High School and Booker T. Washington High School in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Pastor Blaze originally gave his life to Christ at the age of 16. But as some Christians who struggle with knowing how much God loves them at a young age, he ran from what God was calling upon his life. In June of 1994, Pastor Blaze met a young lady named Angela Hughes whom God would use to help him make some life changing decisions that would lead him on this new journey. Two years later, on June 15th, 1996, they became husband and wife. God has blessed them with 29 years of marriage (31 years together) with many more years to come. They share 4 children together and 3 grandchildren.

At the age of 35, as Marlin likes to call it "his journey down his road of Damascus," he accepted the calling that God has on his life. Marlin became an active worker for Christ. He has committed his life to the ministry of God's Word and Works and to the healing and restoration of God's people. He was ordained to Minister by Pastor Joyce Pero of Upper Room Temple of Deliverance on July 19th, 2009. In 2011, Marlin was informed that the doors to The Upper Room Temple of Deliverance were closing. But that did not stop Marlin from serving God as Minister and Armor Bearer to Pastor Ronald Jones of Christian Faith Family Church. Marlin served his Pastor and First Lady well for several years until he started to feel God tugging him for what he was called back to Shreveport to do.

In October 2014, Pastor Blaze opened the doors to Foundation of God Family Ministries. He has been teaching God's word to others by claiming a part of the Model Prayer spoken by Jesus in Matthew 6:11, "Give us this day our daily bread." Marlin believes that we should apply God's Words to our DAILY life and build an "Intimate Right Living Relationship with God."

On February 20th, 2022, Pastor Blaze was officially Ordained as Sr Pastor of Foundation of Family Ministries by Bishop Anthony Williams of Living Vision Ministries Pastor Blaze believes that you should never stop reading and learning from God's words. As he continues to study under Bishop Anthony Williams.
